We use the Tropical Zodiac, Whole Sign Houses, True Lunar Nodes, and True Black Moon Lilith as the default calculation settings.
If you prefer a different setup, you can manually adjust the zodiac, house system, nodes, and other settings before generating your Galactic Astrology Report.

Yes. If you don't know your exact birth time, simply enter 12:00 noon to generate your chart.
You can still explore your zodiacal alignments with planets, asteroids, fixed stars, galaxies, nebulae, black holes, and other deep-space objects.
However, house placements, the Ascendant (AC), Descendant (DC), Midheaven (MC), Imum Coeli (IC), Vertex, and Part of Fortune (POF) all depend on an accurate birth time, so we recommend not focusing on these until your birth time has been verified.
If you don't know your birth time, we recommend switching the House System to No Houses. This lets you focus on the parts of your chart that remain accurate without relying on an exact birth time.
If you would like to determine your birth time more accurately, you can book a consultation with one of the experienced astrologers in our Practitioner Directory who specialises in birth chart rectification. Simply enter "rectification" into the keyword search on the Practitioner Directory page to find them.
You will need to manually set the correct timezone to get the ascendant degree you are looking for. Here is the reason why this happens:
We use the IANA time-zone database, an open source project that is widely accepted as the time-zone authority in the world and most astrological software websites use this database. There are three websites that we know of (Astro.com, Solar Fire and Astro Gold) who instead rely on the ACS Atlas, a proprietary database based on "The American Atlas", a book written by Thomas G. Shanks, who did extensive research in the field and had ties with Astrolabe Inc, the company behind Solar Fire.
99% of the time, results should be identical as both projects often help each other out, but in rare cases there are disagreements between them, especially for dates before 1970 in locations when time-zones were not yet standardized.
Quoting from Wikipedia's article on daylight savings in the US:
"After 1945 many states and cities east of the Mississippi River (and mostly north of the Ohio and Potomac rivers) adopted summer DST. From 1945 to 1966 there was no federal law on daylight saving time, so localities could choose when it began and ended or drop it entirely.
A complicated patchwork of daylight saving policies that varied in length and by city, state, and municipality emerged. As of 1954, only California and Nevada had state-wide DST west of the Mississippi, and only a few cities between Nevada and St. Louis."
Finding out who is right and who is wrong usually requires researching the city's records, or from astrology's side via birth time rectification.

Your report contains your alignments with fixed stars, galaxies, nebulae, asteroids, black holes, cosmic centres, and many other celestial objects.

The most common reason is that the location was entered differently from how it appears in our database. Even small differences in spelling, punctuation, abbreviations, or spacing can prevent an exact match.
To find your location quickly:
- Enter only the first 3–4 letters of the city or town.
- Wait for the drop-down list of matching locations to appear.
- Select the correct location from the list instead of typing the full name manually.
If you still cannot find your location, enter its GPS coordinates, which you can easily find in Google Maps.
